Sharon Gomes created Snow Rose Media to advise on all aspects of content development and international productions. She has won multiple Emmy Awards, working for channels such as MTV, Nickelodeon, Disney, PBS, Sprout and BBC. She has produced internationally in genres from animation, documentaries to entertainment news.
Sharon brings her depth of experience and also her Asian upbringing to the IPs she creates and produces. Diversity, inclusion, mindfulness and female-led projects are cornerstones for the content at Snow Rose Media.
Along with running her consultancy, she is presently Head of Production for Snowflake Films a boutique animation studio, based in Brooklyn NYC - managing the productions and supervising the running of the studio,
Sharon’s experience with live action and remote productions was established when she was handpicked to be the News Anchor for the launch of MTV Networks Asia. She became Director of MTV Asia News, creating programming content for three 24 hour channels, hiring an all female Asian on-air team. After her tenure in Asia, she moved to New York where she produced daily news segments for MTV’s top-rated Total Request Live. She has also appeared on the cover of Newsweek magazine.
Sharon was part of the team that produced Rebirth, a full-length documentary about September 11, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and aired on Showtime channels where it won the Peabody Award. Rebirth also screens at the National September 11 Memorial and Museum.
She is a senior creative executive uniquely experienced in developing inspiring content, leading international productions, and problem-solving in production management. Diverse background includes animation, studio and remote productions and factual content. She is fortunate to be a multiple Emmy award and Peabody award winner.
Sharon is based in New York but considers herself a global citizen.
